Restaurant Industry Headed for Strongest Job Growth in Eight Years

Bruce Grindy, Chief Economist of
the National Restaurant Association reports that the restaurant industry added
28,300 jobs in August which places the industry on a path to register its
strongest jobs growth in eight years. Grindy reports that the restaurant industry added
a net 28,300 jobs in August on a seasonally-adjusted basis which followed 25,600
jobs added in July. This resulted in the post-recession net job growth for the
restaurant industry to 628,000 new jobs. Good news for the franchise industry. Read more
