California's New Franchise Bill Receiving Strong Support. IFA Responds

Franchisee associations have thrown their support behind California's new bill designed to protect franchisees from abusive franchising practices. An article from Blue Mau Mau describes the latest franchise related legislation to come out of  California.  The Level Playing Field for Small Businesses Act is co-sponsored by  two California legislators both Democrates. BMM reports that there looks to be a wave of state franchise relationship laws pushing forward. Vermont and Massachusetts will also vote on similar pieces of fair franchising legislation this year. The International Franchise Association has issued a response to the proposed bill. Read the IFA response
