McDonald's Sales Growth Continues But Some Franchisees Concerned

In this article from dailymeals.com, Janney Capital Markets securities analyst Mark Kalinowski reports on the results of a survey of McDonald's franchisees. The survey included 30 McDonald's franchisees, representing 212 U.S.-based units. They expect a 9.1-percent collective increase in December same-store sales, and expect January results to be strong. However, the franchisees, that were surveyed, expressed concern over their profitability under McDonalds pricing plans during the current economic environment. This concern is due to inflation and the increase in the cost of ingredients. "McDonalds has some of the very best U.S. same-store sales trends out of the top seven burger brands in the country," Kalinowski wrote. Read more
