A recent article in the Harvard Business Review by John Quelch, dean of the China Europe International Business School in Shanghai,China describes why China is a great place to do business. Quelch refers to a quote by the CEO of Coca-Cola who claims that China is a better place to do business than the United States citing the U.S. tax code, red tape bureaucracy and political in-fighting as reasons. Quelch also points out how the large number of new businesses in China will lead to dynamic innovation. Despite reports regarding how China handles product piracy and intellectual property rights the writer makes a compelling case for companies doing business in China. Read more
