Some Managers Just Won't Take Advice

Do managers dismiss advice when making decisions? This article from the Wall Street Journal deals with the issue of whether certain managers will ignore suggestions and advice from subordinates. The basis of the article was from a study by two NYU management professors who looked at survey data about decision-making from more than 200 managers. They also surveyed several of each managers' subordinates about whether their advice was taken. The basis of this article has implications for franchisors and franchisees. Read more.
