Home Care Franchise Stats Validate Continued Growth
Posted by Ed Teixeira
One of the fasted growing segments in all of franchising is in home care. The continuing growth of this dynamic sector of the franchise industry keeps rolling along. To add perspective to this, we took a look at 20 home care franchises with a minimum of 20 franchises and compared their growth from 2008 to 2010. The data was from the Entrepenuer Franchise 500. In spite of the recession and a decline in overall franchise industry growth, home care franchises continue to outpace the rest of the franchise industry as a business segment.
Look at these results for 20 home care franchises:
- From 2008 to 2009 the 20 grew 10.34 % in terms of new franchises. The average franchise company grew from 179 to 197 franchised locations
- From 2009 to 2010 the 20 grew 11% in terms of new franchises. The average franchise company grew from 197 franchise locations to 219.
- During this 2 year span only 1 franchise failed to achieve positive growth. Put another way, 20 franchises over 2 years had a positive growth factor of almost 98%!
Numbers don't lie and in this case the numbers reveal a dynamic franchise category that continues to have double digit growth.
